Season 5 has arrived on YouTube, via our new channel, Geek and Sundry. Each week on the Geek and Sundry channel you’ll get a double dose of The Guild, with Season 5 episodes on Tuesday, and a bonus video on Thursday.

The Guildies head to the gaming convention but find the road a bit… bumpy. With locations in four cities, 75 speaking roles and 263 extras, season 5 is the most ambitious season yet.

The Guild Season 5 DVD is now available via Amazon.com, with a release date of December 13, 2011. Picking up where season four left off, season five takes the Guild members out from behind their computers and throws them into the real world like the show has never seen before, with new locations, guest stars, celebrity cameos and more! The DVD is jam-packed with exclusive bonus features, including:

NOTE: As with previous seasons, this first DVD release is via Amazon.com’s CreateSpace, a print on demand DVD service. This release comes on DVD-R media. A retail release of the DVD will follow in March (both DVD releases have the exact same content)

Artist Erik McKenney, the original character artist for The Guild, has given the original Guild avatars an updated look, which was first previewed in a pinup last month in the Clara one shot from Dark Horse Comics. Erik took the time to make these new avatars available for download in a multitude of different formats for The Guild fans. First, he did a set of 100 pixel square icons for use with your IM/chat profiles:
